The original Switch listing answers the platform question
The Nintendo Brazil product page is specifically a Nintendo Switch listing. Its date and play-mode information provide direct evidence for the original console, even though New Blood's shorter platform headline highlights Switch 2. The June announcement and September release coverage also include the original Switch in the collected research.
That distinction prevents a shortened promotional platform list from being mistaken for a cancellation of a store-listed version. The Nintendo information was collected in Portuguese and summarised in English for this guide. If you purchase from another regional store, use that local listing for its offer and availability.
TV, tabletop and handheld play
Nintendo's listing names TV mode, tabletop mode and handheld mode. Those are supported ways to use the Switch software, rather than measured graphics presets. The supplied sources do not give a resolution comparison or a verified frame-rate target for these modes.
| Listing detail | What the research establishes |

Compatibility is different from a dedicated Switch 2 edition
The original Switch listing reports compatibility when that software is used on Switch 2. New Blood and Lost in Cult also identify a dedicated Switch 2 product, which is a different purchasing question. The compatibility entry by itself does not explain an upgrade entitlement, cross-buy arrangement or access to that separate edition.
Our Switch 2 guide covers the announced dedicated product and its physical cartridge statement. The limited edition guide concerns the documented collector editions, including the Switch 2 print cap. Neither is evidence that Lost in Cult offers an original-Switch cartridge in the same range.
Check the product before comparing prices
Use the console name on the product page as the starting point for a purchase comparison. The price guide separates the announced US digital base price from the launch discount and physical GBP pricing. The release date guide explains why a calendar launch date should not be treated as a shipping promise.
